Strategic Planning for Department of Homeland Security’s First Responder program
The Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate (DHS S&T) First Responders Group (FRG) engaged FirstLink to compile a strategic plan for its Next Generation Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) program.
FirstLink spoke with multiple internal and external stakeholders in order to build out a short-term (1-3 year) strategy and longer-term (3-10 year) strategy for the program.
Outcome
DHS S&T began initiation of its Rapid Technology Development Center in conjunction with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. This strategy has been a key to the implementation of that effort.
