Assessing prior technologies for a biometric device solution for the Air Entry and Exit Reengineering (AEER) APEX program
The Air Entry and Exit Reengineering (AEER) APEX program approached FirstLink to explore the technology landscape for existing technologies around its biometric solution.
FirstLink provided a comprehensive technology foraging effort which focused on four modalities of biometric devices (fingerprint, face, iris and mobile). This effort identified almost 200 solutions representing the four modalities. It also gathered data regarding the technical capabilities of the solutions.
Outcome
The data was used to prioritize and down select from almost 200 solutions to a reduced number of devices for a more detailed study.
